Hindi ko na kayo aalukin kasi ngayon lang ako nakakain nito. These were my exact words to some of my teammates about eating Red Ribbon's tiramisu last Friday night. Actually, almost all of us bought our cake of choice that evening. To think that it wasn't pay day yet.

I have to cut this post due to lack of inspiration. That itch to write something about the good laughter we had that night while waiting for our turn to coach new reps already suibsided.
It is now almost two weeks. And I couldn't recall the taste of that piece of tiramisu anymore. Perhaps, I am still longing for the one made by Bread Talk :p

I've been busy with a lot of things so my regular posting has been affected. Well, who isn't busy? Raise your right hand if you're not. Updates. Updates. And a lot of htmls that crash my brain.
Anyway, my post is about two things- One is all about some signs that I asked for and the other is something that was attention grabbing.
My friend/teammate has been promoted. She'd next week on her new role to a different account and different location. Again, just like from my previous posts about resignations, transfers, moving up/down, adjustments would knock no sooner than now. We need to be with replacements again. Deal with them. Of course, teach them. I do not own this company, moreso, this account. But this is just a way of life. So, congratulations to her and for a more impressive kudos, perhaps she should check our support site once everything has been announced and formalized already.
I am a bit pressured when to apply for a promotion. I'm on my third year with the company. I am proud of my stats and my way of work. Before fixing all the forms I need to apply, I asked the Man up there for signs if I should even try to be set for an interview. So, here are they.
a. Black leather shoes. I am wanting a pair for my birthday. I was planning to change my image a bit to the smart casual look. Well, not really but I would stir this to my person style. That would be at least two months from now. This account that I am targetting usually requires their people to be in smart casual attire. 1 point.
b. Andok's fried chicken. After saying my prayer at the Greenbelt chapel, I headed straight home. The sign I asked for was a sumptuous meal. Not really that grand or the eat-all-you-can type. Just our not so regular meal. I arrived prior to my mom. I waited for her since she usually brings me dinner from my lola. That Wednesday night, my lola had a little fried fish. From my mom's pocket, she bought me fried chicken from Andok's. So, this should be the second.
c. White shirts. Majority of my teammates should be in white shirt. Or that the dominant color of their shirt must be white. I bumped into my supervisor on my way to work and he has his white shirt underneath his polo. My just promoted teammate was in cream (or off white). Another teammate's shirt was in white/black. But white color was at least 3/4 of her shirt. Hmm.
d. Supervisors. And today, I was looking for another sign. I was suppose to ask God that if it's sunny in Makati, then it would be it since in our place, it was raining. But this sign might be so easy because it is given that if it's raining in our place, then Makati shoudl be sunny. I then told myself that if my supervisors' are still here in the office, then I would take that as the fourth one. My female supervisor is usually in the office still everytime I arrive. I usually bump into my male supervisor in Greenbelt area. But today, both were still here.
Four out of four. Then, let's go!
On the lighter side, here are a few things that I find a bit funny. These things happened in the streets.
a. Inside coach#2 of MRT, from North Ave. As per MRT rule, coaches 1 and 2 are for males. But of course, there are patrons who do not follow. It was Wednesday morning and a rush hour. A man beside the door with both arms raised and holding the handrails was squeezing a lady to the door. The lady requested the man to put down one of his arms so she could position properly. The man just ignored the lady. I think she talked to the guy three times until she blurted, "Pakibaba na lang po kasi hindi na ko makahinga... Pasensya na po." (Please put your arm down cause I couldn't breathe. I'm sorry.") Embarassing.
b. A hundred peso bill fell of the pocket of one of the pasengers. The bus was full. I thought the money was mine since I pull my bills out of my pocket when the bus conductor noticed a hundred peso lying on the floor, just right beside me. I immediately said that it wasn't mine. But I made another thinking if it was mine. The person seated across me was claiming that it was his. He said he had a change and started counting his bills in front of us. The conductor asked the sleeping if it was his since he was holding his fare earlier. The man said no. So, the money went to the person across my seat. After a few minutes, the guy who was sleeping said that it was his. The man who first claimed that he owns it voluntarily gave it to him. Then, silence, as if nothing happened. A passenger commented, "Basta pera..."
c. Two young girls were talking ahead of me as we make my way out of our street. They were saying that their grandma was good in cleaning their toes (pedicure). But part of that service was to make their toes bleed. One of the girls even atested, "Hindi. Gnaun talaga si lola. Pinapadugo nya muna talaga..." (No, that's normal. Grandma really makes it bleed first.) . Nyaiks.
d. There was a scene at the unloading section just right beside our building. I was on my way to buy a happy meal when a jeepney unloaded its passengers. A man in long sleeve got off first then some female. But a guy wearing a polo jumped and went straight to the other man in long sleeves. He has rolled papers on his hand which he used to hit the head of the guy. He was shouting something. I am not that "usi" so I just continued my walk. The bystanders buying used ink cartridges were shouting,"Sige. Mag-away kayo." Makati seems to be a high-end city but these people make it a little barriotic.
Alright. It is a weekend. I am not staying to helpout tonight. They are already doing good.
I hope to finish my papers next week so I can submit them.
