Accdg. to a certain website, this was my pastlife...think about this, "Life may not be the party we hoped for. But while we're here, we might as well dance." So, shall we?

A Funny Valentine

No. I am not anticipating Valentine's Day. I never did. Perhaps, never will.

(A big no as well, if you sense some bitterness)

So I was 30 mins. early at work. For a week now, I have been almost at it on being late. Good thing it always takes 20 - 25 mins for me to walk from the MRT station to the office.

Anyhow, it's a Monday. Usually, more people tend to rush to work on this day, which mostly are from the province, Like where I come from.

It was standing ovation inside the bus. Cool since there was air conditioning. TV was tuned in to this morning TV show of this certain channel that I watch once in awhile (Not a favorite, eh?). A feature about V-Day was rolling. If I am not mistaken, it was about 6:25am, the time when this funny statement popped out from nowhere.

A man, perhaps at his mid-50's, was the owner of a flowershop. Due to what most call an "economic slump" or something, a flowershop can now have much more than those buds and thorns. He blurted, "May mga high school students din na bumibili dito ng heart-shaped na puso..." (Translation: "Some high school students also but a heart-shaped heart here...")

At this modern times, yeah, high school. I think I never got anything oh-so-special back then. But can I count my prom date, whom I gave a music box with dancing ballerina? My Senior Prom fell on V-Day as well. (Bitterness was not so evident here.)

But "heart-shaped na puso"?! Let me think if you do not want me to sing "Shape of My Heart" by the Backstreet Boys.

Wait.

You, too, should think. The guy might be true. We have pusong mamon and pusong bato (Just do the translation). Think how these are shaped. He might have meant these so-called hearts as well.

Seriously, will you be going out this Valentine's?
