Accdg. to a certain website, this was my pastlife...think about this, "Life may not be the party we hoped for. But while we're here, we might as well dance." So, shall we?

The Good In Goodbyes
11:15pm
Music: I'm Coming - Rain feat Tablo

In less than a month, three significant ladies in my life had announced their intent to try their luck outside the country.

Well, one of them, my sister, has gone almost a month ago.

The other is my former teammate. I knew of her plans. But my knowledge was not that complete since we hardly see each other. And most of the time, it only happens in cyberspace.

I actually attended her despedida, along with my teammate and two other former teammates. It felt like a reunion as well. Aisah, my teammate who's soon be leaving for SG, Ronch, whom I am coaching weekly about work, but about love and life...nah, Melina, a trainer-slash-recruiter, should del with those. There was also Zig, my batchmate at work, who's fulfilling his dream as a pro in handling the lens. I must admit that I envy his job and talent.

Due to I was stuck in the meeting my deadlines before my rest days, I was the one who arrived late. Very late to be exact. I arrived the next day. You know that my shift ends at 12mn. I was struggling in Shaw Blvd past 12 looking for Astoria Plaza. Out of stupidity, I rented a cab. I could've walked. I know you know how I love to walk and not promote air pollution. But anyway, better late than never, as they say.

Waited for about 5 minutes at the entrance. I was trying to call Ronch and Ice (Aisah) but got no answer. Good thing Ronch had to feed himself with nicotine. He went down and saw me. He dragged me after.

No, wait. After we've entered the hotel room, I tried to look for Zig, Melina and Aisah among the crowd but one of Aisah's friend dragged to the kitchen. I am not used at social gatherings. He was handed a canned beer to me. He even said that he knows I dog hard drinks but that was what he an offer. (I am a good boy, you know :p ). But before I grabbed the beer, the three (Melina, Zig and Aisah) greeted me. Melina asked me to give her a hug and I did. I got my beer and had myself comfortable lounging on the carpeted floor, sitting on a pillow. So, that was chic. (Wait. What does chic mean? The word sounds femme but perhaps fitted to the occasion since girls dominated the boys that time. Hehe.)

Talk. Career. Plans. Cigar. Beer. Pictures. Videoke. Drama (Ooops!). And what-have-yous.

Melina, Ronch, Zig and I left the place at around 5 am. On the contrary, I just had 1 can of beer (I cheated them! Haha!).

Melina did join us three guys inside the car. So, on the way to Cubao, where I would take my ride home (Ronch and Zig belong to the Southern teritory), we still kept talking about some things in our life. Can't remember most since we concentrated on keeping Ronch awake. Drunk driver, you know (Kids, do not try it.).

End of the party.

On the other hand, my cousin, Bebe, would be leaving on Sunday, I think. She never really talked about her plans. I just found out that she's leaving after her documents are already complete.

She requested for a sleepwear. I obliged. My cousin is taller than me. So, I think I got something way small for her.

I placed a small note which read, "Here's your request. Hope you like it. Enjoy Dubai. Take care and God bless."

Last night I got a text message from her that read, "Thanks for granting my request. I'm going to miss you all."

See, goodbye may sometimes look easy. But when that day where I would really have to say goodbye, I shed some tears.

But more than anything, something like this pushes me to strive harder in reaching my goal, my dreams.

Inspiring. How each of these ladies step up and face the challenge elsewhere, away from home.
